April School vacation 2021 is fast approaching. Here are some events and activities that will keep the kids busy on the South Shore Check back as additional activities will be added as we learn about them! If you know of an event let us know. Before venturing out to any location double check as Covid restrictions may have changed. We do our best to keep up to date but things are changing so fast.

Free April vacation fun from the Highland Foundation
Spring is in the air at Weir River Farm! Nutmeg the pony, Ruby the llama and all our barnyard animals are excited to welcome you to the farm this spring vacation week. In addition to your barnyard visit, you may enjoy a hike on our surrounding nature trails, seeking out signs of spring. Experience the beauty of spring at Weir River Farm.
Pre-registration is required for this event. One-hour-long, timed-ticketed entries are at 1PM and 2PM. Register both adults and children online in order for us to adhere to COVID-19 capacity guidelines. Groups will be expected to practice social distancing and the wearing of masks/face-coverings is required for those ages 3 and up.
Family Music at the Red Barn Weir River Farm Hingham
Monday thru Friday 12noon
Join us for 45 minutes of fun singing and moooving with Miss Su! Bring a blanket and enjoy some quality outdoor family time as you sing familiar tunes and learn some new songs that explore life on the farm. Come ready to use your imagination to ride your ponies, grow like a tree, low like a cow, and more! Combine this music session with a trip to the barnyard at 1pm for a full day of family fun. Su D’Ambrosio (aka Miss Su!) has been teaching young children fundamental music skills for over 20 years through singing, rhythm activities, movement and drama play. Trained as a PreK-9 music specialist, she brings a wide range of knowledge, experience, and FUN to students and their families. She is currently president of the international Early Childhood Music and Movement Association and teaches classes through her online music school, Creative Seeds Studio, when she is not playing with her dog, Bernie.
Participants are required to adhere to COVID-19 social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines. Space is limited to 35 participants and preregistration is required. A minimum of 10 registrants is required for the program to be scheduled.
