Day 53 Duxbury beach
One of the favorite beaches to visit is Duxbury beach and many readers of Boston Magazine agree. Duxbury Beach was voted # 1 Beach in Boston Magazine 5 years in a row!
Duxbury Beach is a 6-mile long barrier beach in Southeastern Massachusetts that runs from Marshfield to Gurnet Point and Saquish (part of Plymouth) in the south.
The Duxbury Beach Reservation, Inc., a Massachusetts charitable corporation owns approximately 4 miles of Duxbury Beach. It leases most of the beach to the town of Duxbury for use by Duxbury residents and the general public.
Duxbury Beach Park is located along this beautiful resource and is open Memorial Day until Labor Day weather permitting.
Yes. the beach has some rocks in it and I will warn you to get a spot up at the top of the beach area as when high tide comes in, people who parked lower will be moving up as the tide comes in. It great when the tide is out, you can go pretty far out and still only get water up to your knees!
It costs $15 dollars to park and they have a snack bar with the typical snack bar stuff! Bring your own and save a few dollars.
