Lafayette House restaurant is conveniently located on Route One in Foxboro just south of Gillette Stadium and Patriot Place   Established in 1784, this historic landmark was once a Tavern and Inn that hosted General Lafayette, General Washington, Benjamin Franklin and many other distinguished guests. The restaurant is quite old and beautifully rustic.  The dining room, however, is classically decorated in Colonial fashion with wood panneled walls, gold gilt-framed oil paintings and low ceilings with exposed beams — the epitome of New England charm.
Traditional American Continental including steaks and seafood  ” Lunch is served daily from 11:45 to 3pm and Dinner from 5pm daily. They have a wide selection of dinner entrees and generous portions. So be prepared to bring home a doggy bag for leftovers. They also have a tavern menu which mostly burgers, salads and sandwiches. The food is delicious, the wait staff are polite, and the atmosphere is great. The location is perfect for a romantic date.
