Day 370 Driving Miss Daisy play at Massasoit theater in Brockton MA
The Massasoit Theatre company will be presenting the Pulitzer Prize award winning play play Driving Miss Daisy over two weekends Feb 24th & March 4th.
Driving Miss Daisy is a 1987 play by Alfred Uhry about the relationship of an elderly Southern Jewish woman, Daisy Werthan, and her African-American chauffeur, Hoke Colburn, from 1948 to 1973. It tells the story of race and relationships during those decades and times. The play was also adapted into an Academy Award winning movie in 1989 with Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman as the lead roles.
