Day 379 Patriots Place Chili Bowl in Foxboro MA
The first annual Patriot Place Chili Bowl Cook Off presented by Bass Pro Shops will take place on this Saturday, March 31st from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  This is a great fundraiser for the local YMCA. So how do you like your chili?
Chili con carne (chili with meat) or more commonly known as simply “chili” is a spicy stew containing chili peppers (from a Nahuatl word for Capsicum spp. L.) and meat. Traditional versions are made using chili peppers, garlic, onions, and cumin, along with chopped or ground beef. Beans and tomatoes are frequently included. Variations, both geographic and personal, may involve different types of meat as well as a variety of other ingredients. It can be found in many countries in local variations and also in certain American-style fast food restaurants. The variant recipes provoke disputes among aficionados, and the dish is used as an ingredient in a number of other foods.
Guests can enjoy chili samples and vote for their favorite recipe from eight restaurants at Patriot Place Mall in Foxboro , including Bass Pro Shops’ own  Blue Fin and Uncle Buck’s Snack Shop, CBS Scene, Davio’s, Red Robin, Tastings, Tavolino, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill and Twenty8. Tickets are only $3.00 per person or $10.00 per family and benefit the Hockomock Area YMCA’s ‘Reach Out for Youth and Families’ campaign.
The Hockomock Area YMCA is a not-for-profit charitable community service organization of men, women, and children of all ages, ethnic origins, religious affiliations, and socioeconomic levels united in a common effort to positively influence the quality of life of its members, families, and communities.
