Day 467 Cohasset Village Fall Festival 2012
The 1st annual Cohasset Village Fall Festival will be held on Saturday October 27th just in time to get the whole Halloween spirit. Â There will be pumpkin carving, face painting and many activities for the whole family.
South Main between Elm and Brook streets during the hours of the event. The public parking lot will also be utilized for children’s chalk drawings. The pumpkin carving contest and judging will take place near the post office. Other planned activities include face painting, a spooky treasure hunt, storytelling, kids’ games, wine and beer tasting for adults, and a guitar player performing children’s music. Participating restaurants will supply food and beverages.
Here are some highlights of the afternoon
Each shop will have a scarecrow contest. Customers are invite   to vote for their favorite scarecrow. There will be a ballot box on  south main street for your favorite store scarecrow
2:00 – 4:00 PM. Street drawing contest on south main street. Kids are invited to come and and take a space on the street to draw a   Halloween picture.. Judging will take place at 4:00pm.
Hayride will be from 2:30 – 5:00 starting at Red Lion Inn driveway
Pet costume contest. Bring your dog, cat, bird, lizard, whatever dressed for halloween. Judging will take place at 4:30. Winner will receive free weekend stay at Cohasset kennel
Fire truck will be parked on so. Main for you to climb on
Pumpkin carving contest at park on Ripley St. 3:00-5:00pm
Each shop will have a jar of candy for you to guess how      Much of the yummy morsels is in the jar. The one closest to the amount will win a prize.
Saint Stephan’s Church will have Tours of the bell Tower 3-5pm and bell ringing 5-6pm.
Dooley’s Pub will have Free Mac and Cheese for kids 10 and under. There will be music from 2-4pm.
Bai’s will have a wine and beer tasting!!
