Day 600 Luca’s Light Touch a Truck Day 2013 in Scituate MA
The 2013 annual Scituate Touch a Truck will be held on Sunday June 23rd from 9am-1pm  An interactive family event with real trucks that… dig, climb, rescue, crunch, haul & honk. Annually, this fundraiser supports Luca’s Light Foundation.
2013 Touch a Truck Raffle Basket will include: custom invited by local graphic designer, Jennifer McGuiggin, custom cake by local cake artist, Melanie Hampson McCarthy, construction themed paper goods, plastic hard hats & more! One lucky winner will take it all home!
Cost of admission: $5 per person, maximum $20 per family Suggested donation of $2pp for climbing The Lawson Tower.
Luca’s Light Foundation assists families who are caring for children with cancer. It is overwhelming when a family finds themselves in this situation and our goal is to help ease their burdens so that parents can focus on their child’s well being. Financial support for their most immediate practical needs will be provided and through a mother’s blog, families can become connected so that they can support one another.
The foundation was formed in memory of a wise, brave and loving 3 year old boy named Luca De Lisi, who passed away of a brain tumor after a 6 month arduous fight. His name appropriately means “bringer of lightâ€, and now it is the mission of his parents to keep “Luca’s Light†shining and to share their wisdom with others.
