Day 608 Passport Tapas Bar & Restaurant in Weymouth MA

Sharing is caring!

Passport is a new Tapas Bar and  Restaurant located in Weymouth  MA. The new eatery was   launched by the same group that brought the successful   successful Fat Cat restaurant to Quincy center Owner Neil Kiley 981256_663842093631151_1101388880_oand Executive Chef Tom Coleman teamed up again, this time bringing an international flair to  Weymouth landing.

The international theme is on display around the dining room. There’s a hostess stand made out of old-fashioned suitcases and the back wall has a mural with silhouettes of different world landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty, the Coliseum and the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, in soft orange tones. The menus are printed on world maps.

The theme behind the aptly named restaurant is “a culinary trip around the world.” The menu is built on international small plate offerings with dishes from all corners of the globe. From Oven Roasted Olives to Short Rib Bolognese to Cambodian Duck Breast Salad and even a Korean dish call Be bim bop, Passport’s menu is every bit delicious as it is diverse.

The menu is broken up into different size servings starting with “teasers” of just a few bites, moving up to slightly larger “tasters” (think tapas), then appetizer-sized “smalls” and finally “shares,” which are comparable to an entree for those not in a sharing mood. Prices range from $3 for tasters up to $25 for a butter poached lobster risotto “share.

If you’re just in the mood for drinks, you’ll be happy to know that Passport carries 24 craft beers on tap, and 30+ different bottles of wine, four of which are on tap.
