Day 866 Carver Old Home Day 2014
The 113th Carver Old Home Day will be held Saturday July 26, at Shurtleff Park (across from the town hall), Main Street, Carver. This annual tradition since 1901 is a great family fun day. Just good old fashion fun
Horseshoe Tournament
Join the Double Elimination tournament beginning at 8:00 am in Shurtleff Park. There will be a $5 entrance fee. At 9 a.m. the double elimination tournament will begin. Players with all levels of skill are welcome. Ribbons and trophies will be awarded
Doll Carriage / Bicycle Parade
The children parade through Shurtleff Park showing off their decorated bikes and carriages in themes they have chosen. The parade begins at 10:00 am. Please register your child between 9:30 and 10:00 am at the corner of West Street and Main St on the green.
Juries Art Show
Come view art from local artists of all ages or arrive early and participate by submitting your own framed work.
Craft Fair
You will find lots of homemade creations for sale from local crafters. If you are interested in participating, please complete and submit prior to July 23rd to be included.
The Clambake
An old fashion clambake serving 400 under the pines in Shurtleff Park. The bake is served at 1:30pm and tickets must be purchased in advanced.
Classic Car Cruise
Bring your classic car, truck or tracker to participate in the show and cruise through the back roads of Carver. All meet at the town hall for display beginning at 10:00 am. Those interested can cruise at 11:00 am and enjoy the town.
Music
We always have something for everyone, from big band sounds of patriotic music on the band stand, to classic rock at the town hall, to popular classics prior to the Clambake and percussion sounds for the children to participate in.
Children’s Activities
A Rock Climbing Wall, Bounce, Face Painting, Edaville table, music, and much more. There are always lots of activities for the children to enjoy!
