Mu Han is defined by our approach to life. We use the martial arts as a way to seek improvements in many dimensions of our life. We are not only focused on Taekwondo, we also look at the Mind, Body and Technical Knowledge integration. What this means to a student is that we have a common framework that all of our students can adopt to become their personal path to improvement. In the beginning we set a goal (learn martial arts, get in shape, improve self confidence, etc.) we practice together to achieve these personal goals. Practicing with others is very motivational but you are focusing on your improvement not competing with other students. Along the way you learn dicipline, confidence and how to practice. When you achieve your goal, you are in a better postion to set new goals. You will see the whole landscape with a more experienced view and will set better goals. So the cyle repeats again and again, always improving always changing. So Mu Han is about living a martial arts lifestyle, with the cycle of improvement reaching into other areas of your life. If you focus on improving every day, at the end of the year you will have improved many time over. With this philosophy it doesn’t matter where you start or how fast you progress, it is about living the lifestyle of a true martial artist.

Daniel Sterling Mixed Martial Arts Academy

North Attleboro, MA 02760

Master Daniel Sterling is the Program Director here at Daniel Sterling Martial Arts, located in North Attleboro, MA. Master Sterling has been training in Martial Arts for over 22 years. He has studied various styles such as Shotokan Karate, Capoiera, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do, and Koga Ryu Nin Jitsu. Daniel Sterling is a Fourth Degree Black Belt in Koga Ryu Nin Jitsu Do, a Third Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do Chung Do Kwan, and a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Master Daniel Sterling started Martial Arts at age 7 jumping from school to school trying to find the right fit. Master Sterling found that he fit at a local Nin Jitsu School where he dedicated all of his time to achieve his goal of reaching Black Belt and becoming one of the top sport martial arts competitors in the world. Having a natural gift for martial arts, he already knew the entire curriculum from white belt to 2nd Degree Black Belt by the time he reached his third belt. Not being taught any of the advanced curriculum, he learned it all just from watching others and picking it up the first time he saw it. It was this focus and dedication to martial arts that his instructors noticed, and he immediately started using Master Sterling in numerous demonstrations and competitions around the world.
Master Sterling received his first degree Black Belt after only two and a half years of training in a school where the average student takes a minimum of 5 years to reach black belt.
Master Daniel Sterling is dedicating all of his time into sharing his knowledge with others and giving back to an art that has given him so much and in many ways saved his own life.
