Cohasset Village Holiday Stroll 2015
The Annual Cohasset Village Holiday Stroll will be held on Saturday December 12th from 4 to 7pm. The village and the Rt 3A Business District will be alive with the spirit of the Christmas holiday season.
The afternoon begins with treats, open houses and giveaways along the Route 3A businesses. Later, village storefronts are festively decorated with white lights and wreaths adorned with starfish and cranberry bows. The “Grand Procession” kicks off the festivities, choreographed by Lisa Lynch of Ports, and accompanied by a carillon concert played by Mary Kennedy. Santa Claus leads the parade on Glenn Pratt’s antique fire truck, followed by sled dogs,a hayride, an antique beach buggy, carollers, bell ringers, holiday characters, and “hats on parade,”. The procession ends up in front of the hardware store for the lighting of the tree and some holiday music.
Merchants open their doors and treated visitors to refreshments, chowder, cocoa, cider, beef stew, hot dogs, s’mores and other culinary delights.
