Celebrate Stoughton Day 2016
The 2nd annual Stoughton Day is from 11 am to 3pm on . Saturday, June 25, at the Stoughton High School Field. It is a free event but they are asking everyone bring a can food donation for the food pantry.
The Stoughton Community Events Committee plans these attractions:
* Inflatables, sponsored by Stoughton Co-Operative Bank.
*A petting zoo, sponsored by Especially for Pets.
* Fun and games, along with the Hula Hoop, sack race and relay race contests, sponsored by National Physical Therapy.
* Spin art, sponsored by the Kiddie Academy.
* Photo booth, pony rides, the South Shore Fun Bus, caricatures, plus basketball toss, airbrush and glitter tattoos from KidSports.
The Empire Loan Main Stage, hosted by Jeffrey Pickett of SMAC, will be jam packed with performances by the Kapps, the Stacey Peasley Band, the Fancy Bassetts, Joe Howard the Magician, Derek Raposa and Studio One. Plus check out demos from Rock Star Martial Arts and Old Colony Music, together.
You also don’t want to miss the contests such as the beloved Bike and Doll Carriage Decorating Contest, judged by the Stoughton Women’s Club. Registration begins at 11 a.m. for that. Also, register for the hula hoop contest, relay race and sack racing contests throughout the day.
There will be more than 60 booths in the Vendor Village from Stoughton businesses – each offering something fun and exciting. You’ll want to stop by them all.
Knights of Columbus, Daddy’s Dairy and PieZonis Pizza will have food available for purchase
