Middleborough Krazy Days & Touch a Truck 2018
Krazy Days is an annual street fair that will take place in Historic Downtown Middleborough on Friday and Saturday, August 3rd and 4th from 10 AM to 5 PM. This family friendly outdoor festival offers free entertainment for all ages!
Middleborough on the Move (affectionately called MOM) rekindled Krazy Days in 2012 as a fun way to promote the businesses and the community of Middleborough. Over the years KrazyDays has grown to become a premier regional event drawing vendors and visitors from far and wide to enjoy a couple of fun packed days in beautiful Historic downtown Middleborough.
During Krazy Days vendors have a chance to “set up shop” on the street to present their crafts, art, merchandise, service, and talents to thousands of visitors. With the support of the Massachusetts and Middleborough Cultural Councils, entertainment fills Center Stage, giving young talent, as well as seasoned professionals an opportunity to thrill the crowd. Visitors are treated to demonstrations of karate skills and the talents of local dance troupes – all this and more can be found on Center Stage.
But the entertainment doesn’t stop there! In the Children’s area offers age appropriate story tellers, singing, and games. And the YMCA provides demonstrations by their gymnastics teams. Because of the popularity of the Children’s area it will be expanded this year to under the tent on the lawn in front of Town Hall. Nickerson Avenue will be set up with a touch a truck display.
At the close of the day on Friday we have a community dinner under the tent at Massasoit. On Saturday at lunch time we have a Taster’s Choice competition and for $1 per taste –anyone and everyone can vote to declare who has the BEST Wings in all the Land! (while supplies last!) We encourage all our local restaurants and hidden kitchen talent to participate in the Taster’s Choice. Watch the Facebook page for more information as the date draws closer. www.facebook.com/krazydays.
We are happy to report that Massasoit Community College and Krazy Days are hosting the Northeast Barbeque Society’s annual Tailgate Competition. Thanks to the success of past years, a new category is being added to the competition. For more information go to www.nebs.org
We all know, food is a critical component of any successful community event. This year the food court will be located on the town hall parking lot adjacent to Union Street. The Bartending Service of New England will be setting up their Beer Garden again this year too.
In 2017 over 200 vendor booths were set up and the event was attended by over 10,000 visitors from Middleborough and surrounding areas.
Krazy Days offers 2 fun packed days of all day live, on-stage entertainment, games and activities for all ages, food, and community camaraderie. Bring the whole family. Admission is free and the fun is never ending.
