Blue Hills Great Estate Fall Foliage Weekend in Milton 2018
The 2nd Annual Blue Hills Great Estate Fall Foliage Weekend will be held Saturday and Sunday, November 3 and 4, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m at the Eustis Estate in Milton.
Enjoy seasonal family fun by visiting three historic estates built in the Blue Hills. The Eustis Estate, Wakefield Estate, and Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate present special events throughout the weekend. Visit all three and get a free program voucher to redeem at one of the estates through December 2018.
Activities at the Eustis Estate include apple cider-making demonstrations and tasting, make-your-own bird crafts, landscape tours, and live music.
Apple Activities: Cider-making demonstrations, apple tasting, and apple crafts.
Bird Crafts: Create your own bird art masterpiece with educators from the Museum of American Bird Art at Mass Audubon. Take away crafts for kids and adults. Recommended for children 5-12 and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Landscape Tours: 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. Get a new perspective at the Eustis Estate with this thirty-minute guided tour. Explore the fields, woodland, and gardens and learn about their history. The tour also examines the exterior architecture of the house and other original buildings built between 1878 and 1902. Bring comfortable walking shoes and be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
Lawn Games: Play Victorian-era lawn games like croquet, hoops, and graces.
Live Music: Enjoy music from the Ukulele Union of Boston on Saturday and the Boston Guitar Orchestra on Sunday. Both groups will be hosting practice sessions where you can join in, so bring instruments or get ready to sing along.
