Abington Celebrates Oktoberfest Weekend 2019
Abington Celebrates will be hodling Oktoberfest celebration October 12th-13th at various locations in Abington. Many organzations come together to celebrate the fall in Abington Moms Shopping Survey Earn Amazon gift card and more
The Oktoberfest Weekend schedule is as follows:
Saturday October 12th
Oktoberfest Marketplace: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 12, United Church of Christ in Abington, Route 18. Vendors, crafters, raffles, music, food and fun. Thrift shop will be open.
Dyer Library Open House: 1-3 p.m. Oct. 12, Special Exhibits of Local History,
Not So Scary Woods: 3-6 p.m. Oct. 12, Island Grove Park, Abington. Sponsored by the Abington Lions Club. Costume parade, Joe’s Craz-zy Critters, Touch-A-Truck and games. Free event.
Pumpkin Point and Movie Night: 6-8 p.m. Oct. 12, Island Grove Park, 200 Park Ave., Abington. Carved pumpkin contest with prizes, wish lanterns in the pool and outdoor family movie night. Refreshments available. Free event.
Sunday October 13th
Pancake Breakfast: 8-10:30 a.m. Oct. 13, American Legion building, Post 11, Sponsored by the Abington Lions. Cost: $8 per person, or $25 family cap.
Car Show at Lowe’s: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 13, Lowe’s parking lot,
Oktoberfest Family Celebration: noon-3 p.m. Oct. 13, Frolio School / Memorial Field / American Legion Building, , Abington. Sponsored by the Jeffrey Coombs Memorial Foundation, Jeremy Russell Memorial Fund and Sgt. Daniel Vasselian Memorial Fund. Joe’s Craz-zy Critters and Petting Zoo, bouncy house, kids’ games and hayrides.
Howl-oween! Dog Costume Contest and Raffles: noon-3 p.m. Oct. 13. Frolio School front yard, Abington. Sponsored by the Abington Dog Park Committee. Best dressed stuffed dog contest for ages 12 and younger at 1 p.m. Entry cost: $1.
Costume contest at 2 p.m. $3 to enter. Flying high dogs at 3 p.m. and a special appearance by the Plymouth County Sheriff K-9 Unit.
Pumpkin Painting: noon -3 p.m. Frolio School, 1071 Washington St., Abington.
