The Scituate Chamber of Commerce Scituate Heritage Days is celebrating 56 years on Saturday August 2nd and Sunday August 3rd. Over 54 years of making memories by hosting this premier South Shore free family friendly festive in Scituate Harbor. There will be Food, Artisans, Beer Garden, Boat Races, Kid’s Amusement Rides and much more!

Parking info
Please remember that parking at St. Mary’s this weekend remains reserved for those who are attending Saturday and Sunday Masses. Please do not use our parking lots for heritage days festivities. Spread the word.
August 2nd-3rd are Scituate Heritage Days. We look forward to an outstanding weekend of community events in the harbor district and encourage everyone to support our local merchants. There will be plenty of food, music, and family fun! When planning your visit to Heritage Days, the Scituate Police Department asks that you keep a few essential considerations in mind:
• Parking regulations & restrictions will be strictly enforced throughout the harbor and waterfronts areas.
• Parking on Kent Street will be limited to the east shoulder of the northbound lane of the roadway.
o Additionally, parking will not be permitted on Edward Foster Rd., Vinal Ave., Meetinghouse Ln., Greenfield Ln., Otis Place. and Allen Place – as well as other roadways as indicated.
o Cones, barricades, or signs will designate all restricted parking areas.
• Residents and visitors should anticipate periods of heavy congestion in the harbor area throughout the weekend.
• Those planning to attend Heritage Day’s events are strongly encouraged to utilize the free shuttle bus service, which will run continuously from the Greenbush MBTA parking lot.
o On Saturday and Sunday, there will be FREE PARKING and 2 free, handicap-accessible SHUTTLE BUSES departing from the Greenbush Commuter Rail Station on Driftway.
o The shuttle buses will drop off at the corner of Front Street and Otis.
• Front Street, across from Allen Place, will provide access to the Mill Wharf Restaurant and shops’ parking area.
• Otis Place, east of Front Street, will be closed to through traffic.
• Visitors to Heritage Days are reminded that public consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited throughout the Town of Scituate and will be strictly enforced.
• The Scituate Police Department and our law enforcement partners will be on hand throughout the event to help ensure the safety and security of attendees, but we can’t do it alone.
