Abington Rockland, Hanson &  Whitman   Quad town Luncheon 2025

After 71 years of a Tri-Town Veterans Day parade, our communities are moving to a Quad-Town luncheon celebration hosted by the Town of Whitman with Abington, Rockland, and Hanson supporting them. The goal is the same as always. Honor our Veterans. Unfortunately, both the turnout and the support for planning the parades has declined significantly. This format makes it easier for older and mobility limited Veterans and their families to participate as well.
Quad Town Veterans Day Celebration
Sunday, November 9th from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Whitman VFW, 95 Essex Street. Join a meet and greet with Veterans, enjoy lunch for Veterans and families, and connect with Veterans Agents from each town who will be available to answer benefit questions. Families will find kid friendly activities including bouncy houses, outdoor games, music, and more. A joint color guard and flag presentation opens the event.

On November 12th, at the Abington Council on Aging, the Town of Abington is hosting its annual Abington Veterans’ Celebration! Abington Veterans of all ages are encouraged to attend! Veterans must be a resident, or affiliated with Abington through an organization, committee, our incredible COA, your hometown, etc. This jam-packed event includes a scrumptious coffee hour, welcoming ceremony, 45-table resource fair, student readings, free prizes, music, plated lunch, desserts, entertainment, and so much more! This is an event you don’t want to miss!

Due to the growing size of our Veterans Day celebration, we kindly ask that a spouse only attend if Veteran needs assistance to participate, please.

Wednesday, November 12th at 10:30AM – 12:30PM at the Abington Council on Aging – 441 Summer Street, Abington, MA 02351

Service apparel and/or uniforms are encouraged!!
