2024 Quincy Christmas Holiday Parade and Celebrations

The City of Quincy will host its annual slate of Christmas events beginning on Friday, November 29th   with the Turning on of the Christmas Lights. Santa and his elves will arrive by helicopter on November 30th and the 71st  Annual Christmas Parade will be held on Sunday, November 26th   at 12pm All events are free and open to the public.  Bring the kids over the long Thanksgiving weekend to kick off the holiday season

Strolling Carolers, Fire Shows, Costumed Characters, Letter writing to Santa, free hot chocolate and popcorn, a holiday sing-a-long and performance by Lori Regan, Mark Carey and Shayna Micol from Dick n Jane and more…Join Mayor Thomas Koch and a special guest from the North Pole as they flip the ceremonial switch to bring the holiday spirit to the Hancock Adams Common!

Santa’s Arrival

Pageant Field (One Merrymount Pkwy)

Santa and his elves arrive by Helicopter landing at Pageant Field, at this fun family event. While waiting for the touchdown of the Jolly Old Elf and friends, take a hayride around the field or high five  one of the visiting costumed characters!

 

 

The 71th Annual Christmas Parade

The 70th Christmas Parade has been a tradition for Quincy families for many years. Floats, marching bands, and costumed characters fill Quincy streets, spreading holiday joy to all. The parade route begins at the intersection of Hancock Street and Walter J. Hannon Parkway, continuing up Hancock Street to North Quincy High School
