Hingham Library Touch-A Truck 10am -12pm fun family event to be enjoyed by kids of all ages! Trucks will be parked on the driveway by the children’s entrance. Trucks are graciously provided by Hingham Town departments – DPW and Hingham Municipal Light.

The entire building will be transformed into a 10-hole mini golf course with greens and holes winding through the stacks, around the art gallery, and through the concert hall. Scituate Library Wonderful Whales: an interdisciplinary program for grades pre-k through 3 11am
Amy Estes, an artist and children’s book writer/illustrator, and Anne Smrcina, a retired educator with more than three decades of service with NOAA and academia, have teamed to offer an interdisciplinary program that used the fascinating topic of whales to educate young students about marine life and the ocean. Kids will: listen to the author read one of her books on whales, and participate in activities that allow them to discover facts about whale biology and behavior! This project is sponsored by the Scituate Cultural Council.

Weymouth free movie 3pm The Mayor’s Office & @townofweymouth are thrilled to invite the families of Weymouth to see “The Incredibles” on the big screen in The Theater at Maria Weston Chapman Middle School! Come enjoy an afternoon of smiles and laughter with your loved ones. “The Incredibles” will begin at 3:15pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 (school vacation week). Use our circuitry kits to put together circuit boards that will make lights blink, sounds turn on, propellers spin, and more! We’ve got everything kids will need to work on these projects, including instructions.
Once you’ve mastered the projects in the instruction books, try your hand at making your own.

For Children Ages 0-5 Along with Their Caregivers* Mamasteph brings her traditional children’s songs for sing-alongs and musical stories to the Scituate Town Library! *FREE TICKETS ARE REQUIRED to attend this program on a first come, first served basis. Starting the Monday before the program, stop by the library to get tickets anytime during our normal business hours. Please note that tickets often go quickly and will likely not be available the day of the program. Ticket pick up is limited to six (6) per patron.

Life Size Candyland at Quincy Library 1-4pm If you have ever wanted to traverse through the world of Candyland, your time has come! Explore the Peppermint Forest and Gumdrop Path (and more!) to get to the Candy Kingdom! Try to collect all of our Candyland stickers and decorate your own Candy Kingdom crown. Come to the Children’s Desk starting at 12:45 PM and get your group ticket and number. The groups will be called in order on a first come, first served basis. The activity will run from 1-4. While you wait for your turn, board games and other activities will be available. Geared towards ages 4+, kids under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
