Braintree Library  Little Learners Look at Raccoons  10am
What do Raccoons do in the Winter? Learn about Raccoons today with Miss Elisabeth, and make a Raccoon Paper Bag Puppet. Best for ages 3 – 5, but open to all children. Held in the Children’s Room.

Hingham Library Preschool Storytime (ages 3-5)  10am
Monday’s Preschool Storytime includes reading interactive picture books followed by a fun and simple craft with lots of singing and silliness in between! This storytime is designed specifically for 3-5 year olds with a focus on building early literacy skills as well as fine motor skills with craft activities such as tearing, coloring, cutting, drawing, gluing, and painting. Repeats on Monday except for MLK day until 2/10

Pembroke Library  Storytime 1030am
Toddlers (ages 2 to 5) and their caregivers can enjoy an interactive storytime with songs, dances, and a story that encourages language development and social skills. Each themed storytime is followed by a craft.  Repeats weekly except for Monday holidays

Abington Library Toddler drop in storytime & play  1030am Join Miss Sandy (or Miss Heidi, or Mrs. Grimmett) every Monday morning at 10:30 AM this fall for our drop-in toddler time program! Toddler Time is a 20-minute program consisting of short stories, songs, scarf waving, egg shaking, and a puppet visit. This program is best suited for children ages 0-3. Monday Drop-In Toddler Time is on any Monday we are open. Our Toddler Times are funded by the Friends of the Library.

Kids Yoga  at Hanover Library  11am  Miss Christine from Little Bee Yoga Co. is excited to share the magic of yoga with John Curtis Library families!! Partner with your little yogi in super fun poses, games, music, stories, breathing exercises, meditation, and guided relaxations that help to strengthen their bodies, minds and souls… We’ll bark in downward dog, meow in cat pose and roar in lion pose while we take a yoga journey that you and your child will never forget! This fun class provides a beautiful bonding experience between the adult and child. Each class is 45 minutes. The class is geared toward children ages three to six years, but all ages are welcome to participate.  Please bring a yoga mat or towel.  Mondays, January 6, 13, 27 ( no class on the 20th ~ Happy birthday Martin Luther King Jr. 🎈)

 

Lego Club at Cohasset Library 4pm  Join us for an hour of building with LEGO®s. Completed projects will be put on display in the Children’s Room. All ages and communities welcome. repeats Mondays except for Monday holiday until May 12th

Braintree Library  Children’s Music Concert presented by Matt Heaton  10:15am
Children will enjoy live children’s music performed by well-known children’s music performer Matt Heaton. His songs are full of good messages and good fun. Best for ages 2 1/2 – 5, but open to all children. Held in the Children’s Room. No registration needed.

Hingham Library Move & Groove Storytime (Ages 4 and under)  10:15am
Move & Groove Storytime, held on both Tuesdays & Wednesdays, is perfect for young children. This fast-paced Storytime includes fun stories, music, movement, and a big finish with bubbles! This program is suitable for children ages 4 and under with their caregiver. Gentle reminder: food is not permitted at Storytime. Space in this storytime is limited, and registration is required. We now offer three sessions of Move & Groove Storytime each week. Please register weekly  this program repeats thru the end of January

Wiggleworms storytime  Easton Library  1030am  
Best for mobile toddlers, Wiggleworms features songs, rhymes, and a story or two to keep little ones engaged. Join Miss Alyisha every Tuesday at 10:30 AM in the Children’s Room. Storytime runs for about 30 minutes. No registration required and all families are welcome!  On especially nice days, when the weather is clear and crisp, we may move outside to the Garden. Caregivers and children ages 0-5 are invited to a playdate at the Library! Join us anytime between 4:00-5:00 pm for some themed early learning activities. We’re starting off our Learning Adventures program with an alphabet theme, and this week’s session will be all about the letter A. Drop in for an afternoon of fun, reading, play, and friends! This is not a librarian led program. Young children must be supervised by an assigned caregiver at all times.

Braintree Library Family Yoga for Little Ones 10:15am 
Join experienced yoga instructor Jennifer Lyn to stretch and breath deep. Jennifer returns with session of mindfulness, relaxation, games and simple yoga poses for kids. This class will be fun and engaging for kids 1-5 years old. Siblings are welcome.  Please bring a yoga mat, towel or use library carpet square. No registration is needed .Instructor Jennifer Lyn is the owner of Nurtured Roots LLC and is an experienced wellness coach, Yoga and Mindfulness Instructor.  Program made possible by the use of State Aid Funds.  Repeats weekly thru Feb 12th

Braintree Library  Baby and Me Movement & Mindfulness  11am   Join Jennifer Lyn in this Baby & Me movement and mindfulness classs. Jennifer offers a warm and supportive environment for parents and caregivers to connect with their newborns and infants, as well as with other adults in their community, through gentle movement, song and discussion.  Class is for newborn babies to pre-crawling and their parents/caregivers. 3:00—4:00 PMDrop by the Adams Shore Library with your preschooler, ages 3-5, any time between 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to do some fun simple science together. Activities, experiments and instructions will be provided for science you can do with your child.

Each month activities, experiments and instructions will be provided on a different science topic you can do with your child.

In January we will be exploring Building & Engineering – Come build with us to explore simple engineering activities. Make block towers, send marbles down ramps, and try to make a bridge out of paper and cardboard.

Baby Lapsit babies to 2 yr old Pembroke Library 1030am Designed for babies and toddlers from 6 to 24 months, Lapsits are a great chance for caregivers to bond with their child. Each 30-minute program includes stretches, songs, and rhymes followed by an open play time that allows babies to play and grown-ups to chat. repeats weekly thru end of June

 

Randolph Library 1030am  Come bounce with us on Thursdays at Bouncing Tots! Created for little ones aged 0-3, accompanied by an adult, get ready for a jolly storytime adventure! Join Miss Rebecca for a class filled with music and movement. Rebecca is a musician who has a background in theater, music and improve. She is bringing her multiple talents to our library. Sing along to original songs and family favorites, as well as play with her collection of instruments. Melissa & Doug take a long travel train set tableAs a mom of a 2 year old son who hates having a mess this was a MUST! I love how it folds up and all the pieces fit within it. It is also perfect for on the go as well! It is great quality and the pieces are actual wood & not cheap and thin!
