What do animals and birds eat in the Winter?What birds do you see outside? Explore with Miss Elisabeth, then make an Owl craft to take home. Best for ages 3 – 5, but open to all children. Held in the Storytime corner of the Children’s Room.

Monday Morning Stories @North Quincy library

Toddler Storytime for ages 2-3  Quincy Main Library  
10:00—10:45 AM  This program for two- and three-year-olds and their caregivers introduces simple stories and concepts to young children. Songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and felt board activities will be used to reinforce concepts.  repeats Mondays thru Feb except for vacation week

Hingham Library Preschool Storytime (ages 3-5)  10am
Monday’s Preschool Storytime includes reading interactive picture books followed by a fun and simple craft with lots of singing and silliness in between! This storytime is designed specifically for 3-5 year olds with a focus on building early literacy skills as well as fine motor skills with craft activities such as tearing, coloring, cutting, drawing, gluing, and painting. Repeats on Monday except for MLK day until 2/10

 

Pembroke Library  Storytime 1030am
Toddlers (ages 2 to 5) and their caregivers can enjoy an interactive storytime with songs, dances, and a story that encourages language development and social skills. Each themed storytime is followed by a craft.  Repeats weekly except for Monday holidays

Abington Library Toddler drop in storytime & play  1030am Join Miss Sandy (or Miss Heidi, or Mrs. Grimmett) every Monday morning at 10:30 AM this fall for our drop-in toddler time program! Toddler Time is a 20-minute program consisting of short stories, songs, scarf waving, egg shaking, and a puppet visit. This program is best suited for children ages 0-3. Monday Drop-In Toddler Time is on any Monday we are open. Our Toddler Times are funded by the Friends of the Library.

Lego Club at Cohasset Library 4pm  Join us for an hour of building with LEGO®s. Completed projects will be put on display in the Children’s Room. All ages and communities welcome. repeats Mondays except for Monday holiday until May 12th

Top 10 LEGO sets for preschoolers 

Hanson Library  Learning Adventures (Ages 0-5) 4-5pm 
Caregivers and children ages 0-5 are invited to a playdate at the Library! Join us anytime between 4:00-5:00 pm for some themed early learning activities. Continuing with our alphabet theme, this week’s session will be all about the letter C. Drop in for an afternoon of fun, reading, play, and friends!  This is not a librarian led program. Young children must be supervised by an assigned caregiver at all times.

Rock-a-Bye Baby Storytime with Mrs. Miller – Ages 4-11 months 930am
An introduction to stories, songs, nursery rhymes and gentle movement exercises for very young children  babies ages 4-11 months, accompanied by an adult.  This program is made possible by the generous sponsorship of the Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library.   Repeat Thursday mornings thru March 6th except for Feb vacation week

Parachute Play and Musical Parade with Pom Poms Braintree Library 10am
We’ll play and sing with the large parachute. Then choose one of our musical instrument or a festive cheerleader-type pom pom to use in our Parade. Best for ages 2 1/2 – 4, but open to all children. Held in the Children’s Room.

Hingham Library Move & Groove Storytime (Ages 4 and under)  10:15am
Move & Groove Storytime, held on both Tuesdays & Wednesdays, is perfect for young children. This fast-paced Storytime includes fun stories, music, movement, and a big finish with bubbles! This program is suitable for children ages 4 and under with their caregiver. Gentle reminder: food is not permitted at Storytime. Space in this storytime is limited, and registration is required. We now offer three sessions of Move & Groove Storytime each week. Please register weekly  this program repeats thru the end of 2/11

Wiggleworms storytime  Easton Library  1030am  
Best for mobile toddlers, Wiggleworms features songs, rhymes, and a story or two to keep little ones engaged. Join Miss Alyisha every Tuesday at 10:30 AM in the Children’s Room. Storytime runs for about 30 minutes. No registration required and all families are welcome!  On especially nice days, when the weather is clear and crisp, we may move outside to the Garden. Braintree Library Family Yoga for Little Ones 10:15am 
Join experienced yoga instructor Jennifer Lyn to stretch and breath deep. Jennifer returns with session of mindfulness, relaxation, games and simple yoga poses for kids. This class will be fun and engaging for kids 1-5 years old. Siblings are welcome.  Please bring a yoga mat, towel or use library carpet square. Jennifer offers a warm and supportive environment for parents and caregivers to connect with their newborns and infants, as well as with other adults in their community, through gentle movement, song and discussion.  Class is for newborn babies to pre-crawling and their parents/caregivers. Join Miss Rebecca for a class filled with music and movement. Rebecca is a musician who has a background in theater, music and improve. She is bringing her multiple talents to our library. Sing along to original songs and family favorites, as well as play with her collection of instruments. Great program for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.  Space in this event is limited, and registration is required.  repeats weekly thru the end of February

Valentine’s Day

Melissa & Doug take a long travel train set tableAs a mom of a 2 year old son who hates having a mess this was a MUST! I love how it folds up and all the pieces fit within it. It is also perfect for on the go as well! It is great quality and the pieces are actual wood & not cheap and thin!
