Preschool Discovery – Ages 3-5 at Quincy Library 10am Drop by the Main Library children’s room with your preschooler, ages 3-5, any time between 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month to do some fun simple science together. Activities, experiments and instructions will be provided for science you can do with your child. Each month activities, experiments and instructions will be provided on a different science topic you can do with your child. In March we will be exploring Colors!
Saturday Move & Groove Storytime (Ages 4 and under)at Hingham Library 10am Move & Groove Storytime is perfect for young children. This fast-paced Storytime includes fun stories, music, movement, and a big finish with bubbles! This program is suitable for children ages 4 and under with their caregiver. Gentle reminder: food is not permitted at Storytime. Space in this storytime is limited, and registration is required.

Quincy 400: Historic New England Colonial Sampler 10am at Quincy Library What was it like to be a child in colonial times? Children ages 5-12 accompanied by an adult are invited to join us on Saturday, March 29th at 10:00 am to find out. Learn what life in colonial times was like for children in New England. A series of hands-on activities teach about the work, education and play of the Pierce children in eighteenth-century Dorchester. Students will see reproduction clothing that boys and girls wore in the past. Each student will make an herbal sachet, write with quill pens and play historic toys and games. This program is presented by Historic New England, a charitable, non-profit, historic preservation organization headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. It is focused on New England and is the oldest and largest regional preservation organization in the United States. Historic New England owns and operates historic site museums and study properties throughout New England.
