Farm Visits Petting Zoo at Patriot Place 11am  Farm Visits comes to Patriot Place on Monday, April 20 from 11AM – 1PM near Red Robin. This fun, educational traveling petting farm encourages children not only to pet the animals, but also feed, hold, and cuddle with them during your visit.

A staff member will be onsite to operate line, and ensure care of animals.

Playful Engineers Artful Mechanism at Randolph Library 1pm  Kids get busy crafting mini masterpieces with their own snazzy gadgets that send secret notes, spin yarns, or tackle tiny tasks. As they follow the blueprint, their imaginations run wild, dreaming up new designs to glam up those foundational feats.  This creative whirlwind might just inspire them to tweak the structures themselves.  It’s a delightful dance where engineering and design swap dance partners!

Quincy Library 1pm  Puppet Tales with Leigh for Ages 3 -7 1pm 
Join us at the Main Library where Through Me To You Puppetry invites you to join Newton and his puppet friends for some storytime fun!Newton and his friends take turns reading stories and singing songs with the kids. At the end of the show, the kids are invited to say “hi” to Newton. Our half-hour show is geared to ages 3-7, but all are welcome!

KIDS LINE DANCING at Patriot Place 2pm

Enjoy a taste of summer this April vacation with mini golf in the library! Play 9 holes on an exciting course glowing with neon LED lights! This is event is perfect for families with kids of all ages and teens with their friends! Registration is required. Please register ONCE per family/group for ONE time slot. Each group will start the course during their half-hour time slot on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Kids Karaoke for ages 5+ @ North Quincy  Library  3pm   Join us at the North Quincy Library for a fun afternoon of Karaoke where children ages 5 and up can stop by the Community Room to use our Karaoke machine and sing their favorite songs! Coloring pages and a Make-Your-Own Microphone craft will also be provided so they can color and enjoy the music if there’s a wait.

-Insects may provide a solution to food insecurity/food waste, climate change, and malnutrition  -Nutritive comparison of insects vs our common food staples (beef, chicken, fish)  -Discussions on cultural barriers preventing us from adopting edible insect  -The future outlook of edible insects  Join Blake Dinius Plymouth County Entomologist as he walks us through edible bugs and sustainability with free samples!
