What are the reviews for the Mayflower II Plymouth Harbor

This is historians’ best guess what the Mayflower was like, based on 17th Century cargo ships. We got to see the living conditions of the Pilgrims as they crossed the ocean. It’s a good learning experience, especially as part of the Pimoth Museums ticket package.

What an interesting recreation! I learned so much. The docents were incredibly knowledgeable and more than willing to give time to every question. Incredible to try to imagine being on this ship.

Third visit, still worth the imaginary time travel. Spent about 45 minutes wandering about the ship, checking out views and listening to one of the employees spew knowledge of the ship’s sailing mechanisms. Unique experience with fun photo opportunities. The online combo tickets are the way to go, if you are willing to dedicate a day or more to touring Plymouth.

Thanks to all the guides on the Mayflower II. Very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. We had the opportunity to see and hear of facts we never knew or had heard about in our studies.

We’re retired, former sailors and my husband traces back to one of the original pilgrims on the Mayflower and we took our teenaged daughter .  This was an exceptional experience. We all loved the ship. We’d just been at the shipyard in Mystic Seaport the day before and had a real appreciation for what it took to rehab the Mayflower II. Our teen-ager  this as her favorite experience of the trip and said that it made the story come alive for her. We all came away with a greater appreciation of what it took to make this journey on a small sailing vessel crammed with people.

The Mayflower II was fantastic. There were plenty of knowledgeable guides happily waiting in each area of the ship to answer questions and share fascinating tidbits about the people, the time and to really paint a dramatic picture of what the settlers experienced 400 years ago. Our 10 and 13 year old were engaged and learned so much, it was so worth the stop!

This is a national treasure. You can go onto this ship and see what it would have been like to have 102 people crammed in such a small space in the hold for 66 days, along with their animals. Interpreters were there to point things out in different parts of the ships and answer your questions. It was very much worth visiting.
