If you are looking for an upscale Sunday brunch on the South Shore, you need to check out the Scarlet Oak Tavern located on Hingham’s historic Main Street in a 250-year old colonial house that has been thoroughly restored and updated to accommodate diners.  Brunch is served from 11:30-2:30 on Sundays.  They also have a great pub style lunch menu and dinner menu.

They have won the Best of Boston award not only once but twice in 2008 and again in 2010!  The bar and the fireplace The dining area is a series of large halls and side rooms, giving you the sense that you’re eating in a vast Bed and Breakfast, full of old money and young foodies.  There was at least one, wine bottle-lined side room that could be rented for private parties.
