Day 108 Great North American Pumpkin launch in Marshfield

Sharing is caring!

If you are looking for something different to do this weekend and maybe a little upset that Great Pumpkin didn’t appear on Halloween plus you are a secret Medieval warrior you should check out the pumpkin launch that is happening this weekend.

The Great North American Pumpkin Launch and archery tournament will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, on the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Hanson Boy Scout Troop 430 built a 13-century wooden trebuchet that stands two stories tall. It is made of 6-inch-by-six-inch lumber and has a 19-foot throwing arm.

Builder Rod Hall of Hanson helped with the effort and the Pembroke Country Club provided the materials. T&K Asphalt will move it to the fairgrounds on a trailer.
