Blue Hills Ski area is a family friendly place to go skiing right in Canton! Who needs to take the family up to the mountain of New Hampshire when your kids can go skiing practically in your backyard. Its a great place to learn how to ski as they as ski lessons
This place is as good as it gets for a ski area that is super close to Boston and good for kids/people who are beginners. If you’re a double black diamond expert, then this place is not for you.
There is one double chair lift that will take you to 3 or 4 trails and a magic carpet for the beginners area. Also, there is night skiing on most of the trails and they are open till 9pm. They have small lodge with rentals, a little bit of gear, bathrooms, and a snack shop.

Blue Hills season varies depending on the season but our goal is to be open mid-December through March. For the latest snow conditions they will post on facebook

What are the reviews on Blue Hills Ski Area in Canton
it’s very convenient and gets the kids snowboarding when we can’t get to a bigger mountain. We have frequented the mountain over the years. My daughter learned to snowboard in the school there. We’d recommend.
This is a very small hill, but has some wonderfully challenging slopes for being so close to Boston and away from any real mountains. Blue Hills is family friendly and great for night skiing.
This is close to the city and is a great place to learn to ski. You don’t have to drive 2 hours and they have season passes.
My son took the Snow Puppies class this winter. The staff was great. Each instructor was great. He learned a lot in a short period. Great to have this so close to home & a reasonable price!
Very well run, different trail options, fun atmosphere for kid groups and family groups, quiet times early in the day.
Totally dependent on weather but when it cooperates, what a great location place to ski! Good choices for all levels, plenty of parking and nice energetic staff! Great to bring the kids after school for a quick run or two!
Best kept secret in the area. Highly recommend purchasing season pass if you live close by. So many times I’ve grabbed the grandkids after school or after dinner and spent a couple hours there without worrying about having to purchase lift tickets or having to stay to get money’s worth on those long boring winter month days/nights.
Granted its not a giant mountain but the trails are challenging enough to practice new things and the learn to ski area is perfect.
