Sharing is caring!

New Bedford Summerfest

The Greater New Bedford Summerfest will be held this weekend Saturday July 1st and Sunday July 2nd.  The festival   will feature the best in contemporary, traditional, and Celtic folk music.   It is a great way to celebrate the July 4th long holiday weekend.

The two day family-friendly  festival offers continuous folk music from 11am to 9pm on seven sound stages throughout the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park ranging from the 1200 seat “Custom House Stage” to the intimacy of the 55 seat “Meet the Performer” area.

Featured among the nearly fifty musical acts are Cheryl Wheeler, Ellis Paul, Eliza Gilkyson, John Gorka, Antje Duvekot, Vishtén, The Outside Track, David Jacobs-Strain, Diana Jones, NewFound Road, Le Vent du Nord, Beppe Gambetta, Jez Lowe and Steve Tilston.  The festival also features a high quality crafts show with over ninety juried crafters selling handmade crafts at affordable prices. Food will also be available including the justifiably world famous New Bedford scallops.
