Day 262 Paragon Carousel Gala at Nantasket Beach in Hull MA
Do you have memories of Paragon Park in Nantansket beach? If you are 35 years or older and grew up in the Boston area you probably do! Why not go back and build some memories and help support the Carousel! The Friends of the Paragon Carousel will present The Ultimate Nantasket Experience, a gala event to benefit the historic amusement on Friday August 12, from 6-11pm, at the Nantasket Beach Resort.
For this one summer night, guests who wish to support the 1928 historic Paragon Carousel will experience a variety of entertainment in the function rooms while enjoying a wide selection of tapas-style culinary treats prepared by the Executive Chef of the Nantasket Beach Resort, as well as a cash bar in each room (your ticket includes two drink vouchers.) Tours of the resort will feature their new bridal suites and a visit to the observation deck, which offers amazing views of the ocean and the Boston Skyline.

The Surf Lounge will host a resident DJ with comedians performing during the evening.
The Nantasket Ballroom will be transformed into a 1950’s ice cream shop with ice cream, cotton candy, hot dogs, popcorn, soft drinks as well as an adult beverage bar. Karaoke will be the featured entertainment with a Karaoke Contest.
The Minot Room will be transformed into the Paragon Carousel experience with Paragon Park memorabilia and Paragon Carousel materials. Visit and talk with Paragon Carousel’s restoration artist, James Hardison, and learn how the 66 horses are restored. Learn about the history of the carousel and revisit a time when Nantasket Beach was home to Paragon Park.
The Surf Ballroom will be transformed into a live entertainment cabaret.
The Fitness Center will be transformed into a Wii activity center for guests who wish to take a break from eating, drinking and enjoying all the entertainment.
The Game Room will be available for your fun and enjoyment throughout the evening.
The Silent Internet Auction will be available at computer stations in the Main Lobby, the Surf Ballroom and the Conference Center Lobby. A wide range of exciting items and experiences will be featured on thissilent auction and will go live on July 23rd.
The Marketplace, the outdoor space between the hotel and conference center, will be transformed into a street fair with push carts, food, entertainment, beer garden, and other items for sale.
50-50 Raffle tickets will be on sale all night with the winner of the 50-50 raffle pulled from the drum at 10:00 pm in the Marketplace. (You must be present to win this 50-50 raffle.)
Ride the Paragon Carousel by boarding an Old Town Trolley that will do shuttle runs from the hotel lobby to the Carousel every 30 minutes starting at 6:30 pm and ending at 10:30 pm.
