Day 296 Lakeville Arts and Music festival
The 7th annual Lakeville Arts and music festival is this weekend Saturday October 1st from 10-4pm. Admission is free for this fun kid friendly festival.  Make  sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket for your comfort while you listen to the musical groups scheduled for the outside stage, including Wicked Blue, an American blues/rock band will have center stage at 1:30 for two hours. The Shane Wood Trio, a unique blend of smooth vocals, saxophone, piano and drums, will play earlier,  There will be kids activities scheduled throughout the day as well. Search out the Wizards during your visit. They will be roaming around to remind everyone where and when the four children’s craft activities are scheduled in the library and what the specific activities will be throughout the day.
A variety of  crafters will be selling their many beautiful handmade wares such as jewelry, pottery, homemade dog and cat collars, hand-woven baskets, honey products, handmade candies, stained glass, wood burning, nautical accessories, and children’s tutus, to mention just a few.

Proceeds from the 2011 Arts and Music Festival will help to fund this year’s Festival as well as year-round support for the arts and cultural efforts through the Lakeville Art Council for Lakeville and surrounding communities.
