Day 302 Plymouth Rock Comedy Festival 2011

The  2nd annual Plymouth Rock Comedy Festival, showcasing four nights of comedic entertainment will be held Wednesday  October 12 through Sunday October 15 throughout various Plymouth locations. The comedy festival  will showcase some of the area’s funniest comedians in a last standing comedian contest.Plymouth rock

On Wednesday October  12, the festival kicks off with the “Ruffle Your Feathers” contest, in which six comedians – narrowed down from 20 by a public online voting forum – compete against each other for the number one spot. A panel of judges will determine the winner, who will receive the Turkey Egg trophy and become the opening comedic act for an upcoming LLP production. Hosted by comedian Dave Russo, this event will take place at Martini’s Bar and Grill in Plymouth MA  at 8 p.m., and is free to the public.

The festival will continue  Thursday October  13 with the “He Said/She Said” Battle of the Sexes. Held at the Radisson Hotel in Plymouth  at 8 p.m., this show highlights the age-old battle of man vs. woman. Four comedians will storm each other on stage and the audience gets to decide the winner.   Purchase tickets online

The most outrageous event, “Raw Comedy,” will take place Oct.14 at Cabby Shack in Plymouth . This is a 21-plus show in which comedians unleash their most uncensored opinions on stage for two shows, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.   Purchase tickets online

The main event and ultimate comedic throw-down will occur at Plimoth Plantation Oct. 15, at which comedians will honor one recipient in a tell-all, candid forum. This year’s recipient will receive the coveted “Ruffled Feather Award,” developed by LLP to recognize and commend the unique achievements of talented individuals who have made a positive impact in the world. This event will be follow a free afternoon of prizes and games hosted by Loretta LaRoche Productions at Plimoth Plantation.

The Plymouth Rock Comedy Festival was founded by Loretta LaRoche Productions to stitch together comedic talents and showcase them live. The festival is working in partnership with many Plymouth venues and benefits the Plimoth Plantation.
