Quincy will be celebrating the start of the Christmas Holiday season this weekend from Friday Nov 25th to Sunday Nov 27th with their light up the Holidays in in Quincy weekend.  There will be plenty of activities for the kids as well as the 59th Christmas Parade on Sunday!

Holiday Festivities & Tree Lighting

Friday, November 25, 2011 | 4pm–7:45pm

Presidents Place Galleria, 1250 Hancock Street

Spend the evening getting in the holiday spirit!

Ongoing Activities from 4-7 pm

• “Hands on” crafts/activities for the kids including: Lego™ construction, ornament making, letter writing to Santa, decorate a gingerbread cookie

• Strolling Victorian Carolers

• Food vendors from Quincy restaurants  (cost associated)

Scheduled Activities

4:00-5:00pm Ginger Betty’s Bakery Gingerbread House Decorating Contest

4:30-5:15pm Performances by Quincy’s own dances studios: Center Stage, InSync, and Velocity.

5:30-6:30pm Interactive musical performance by “Toe Jam”

6:30-7:30pm Costumed characters arrive

6:45-7:15pm Donna Marie Children’s Puppet Show

7:15pm Winner of Gingerbread House Decorating Contest Announced

7:30pm Join the Quincy Choral Society outside for a sing-a-long and turning on the lights!

The 59th Annual Quincy Christmas Parade will be held on Sunday, November 27th, 2011. The parade route begins at the intersection of School, Elm and Hancock Streets, and runs up Hancock Street to North Quincy
