If you are looking for  a bit of the North end or maybe a bit of Tuscany  on the South shore then you need to check out Orta’s Italian restaurant in Pembroke.  Named for a lake in the Piedmont region of Italy, the casual restaurant sells piattini, antipasti, Neapolitan brick-oven pizza, pasta and other meat, chicken and fish entrees. Orta has a wide selection of antipasto ranging from suppli al telefono – fried rice balls with mozzarella and basil filling – to roasted stuffed peppers with ground sausage covered in marina sauce. .The prices are right here, with all main courses but the steak and Clams Abretto under $20.  They have chicken and seafood Italian dishes. If you want gournment pizza,you need to check them out from margherita style to fried eggplant!
The open kitchen, dining stools at the brick oven and separate bar area at the back of the restaurant set a casual, but elegant atmosphere. It’s easy to forget you’re in a strip mall.  The bar area has a cozy little fire place, and a spacious layout.  The restaurant area is warm and comfortable and has a great “vibe” – its lively and bustling but still feels cozy and intimate if you want a romantic dinner.

Book a private event in the  Grotto. A private dining room with a full bar that comfortably seats 40. Perfect for all small gatherings bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinner and retirement parties.  The grotto is an intimate and cozy space with a private entrance located at the rear of the restaurant.
