Dalby Farm is an educational, interactive adventure, open every year from May 1st“ October 31. It’s  great for day trips, scouts, camps, church or any group that is interested in animals or history. Our material is tailored to fit any age group.

Dalby Farm is an educational, interactive adventure; home to many rare farm breeds. In a traditional year we are open from May 1 – October 31, but have added offerings on either side during the Pandemic.

We have always been great for day trips, scouts, camps, church or any group that is interested in animals or history; our material is tailored to fit any age group. Recently we have become more accessible to small groups and families who want to have a private or semi-private experiences on the farm with our Family Animal Encounters.

We have many fun- filled seasonal activities to offer you (during a traditional year… not all are available in 2022):

‘The Dalby Farm Experience’: Exploring Farm Animals is an interactive summer learning program for children entering K-2nd grade. Our farm provides an ideal environment for children to ‘experience’ learning through hands-on farm and animal activities, games and crafts.

Exploring Farm Animals, offers a different theme every day. The presentation, activities, and crafts are designed to reinforce and coincide with the presented subject matter so that the child has fun while learning. Each day of the program covers a different farm animal so that the participant can partake in both sessions without repetition.

Through a curriculum designed for children entering K-2nd grade, ’Exploring Farm Animals’ participants will learn about farm animals and their habitats, via stories, hands-on activities and crafts. Being on a farm, the children are able to explore them through their senses. They will hear the rooster crow, feel the softness of sheep’s wool and see the rich color and beauty of a chicken’s feather.

Each program participant should bring along a trashless boxed lunch and drink. It is also recommended that each child bring a refillable water bottle that can be used throughout the day.

Please note: The majority of The Experience takes place outside and each program participant will partake in outdoor activities, walk on wooded trails and will have contact with farm animals. The Experience will be held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, program participants should bring appropriate outerwear.

Exploring Farm Animals is offered to children entering grades K-2 and the program is offered, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

2022 Dates   

Monday July 18, Wednesday July 20 and Friday July 22.

   Monday  July 25, Wednesday July 27 and Friday July 29.
