Day 625 The Royal Lipizzan Stallions Horse show 2013 at East Middleboro Fairground
The Royal Lipizzan Stallions are coming to the East Middleboro Fairgrounds for 3 shows  on Friday July 26th , Saturday July 27th and Sunday July 28t at 6pm. This great horse show will be exciting and is sponsored by the East Middleboro 4H club.
The Herrmann family Lipizzans date back 300 years to a horse that was gifted to an ancestor by Ferdinand II for use in battle. In the early 1960s, the family brought their horses to the U.S. and have been touring and performing ever since. Their beautiful stallions perform routines to music, as well as the famed and popular “Airs Above the Ground†battle maneuvers.
Be sure to keep your eyes peeled when they roll into town, as their barn areas are open during regular business hours for public viewing free of charge. Come and meet the horses that are referred to as “the art of the horse world, a symphony in whiteâ€, then return for a show to watch them perform their magic!
Part of the proceeds benefit East Middleboro 4H activities throughout the year which helps provides scholarships to 4H alumni going to college.
