Day 893 Tastefully Simple Freezer Meal Workshops

Sharing is caring!

Tastefully Simple will be holding a series of fall freezer meal  Freezer Meal Workshops:  With themes like crockpot meals, Paleo inspired meals, and extravagant entrees, I offer in home and on location Freezer Meal Workshops on the South Shore. Make 10 freezer meals in just 2 hours! Kerry Gould is a local Tastefully Simple and will holding these workshops

1) The Menus. I currently offer three menus  Extravagant Entrees, Be a CrockStar, and Practically Paleo. I will rotate these menus between 3 locations in Scituate, Weymouth, and Bridgewater.

2) Registration. Pre-registration is required at least 2 weeks before the workshop. This is too ensure delivery of products in time for the workshop. Registration differs depending on the menu you are making, varying from $50-$60. When you register the cost goes towards securing your spot at the workshop plus ordering AND shipping the 5-6 Tastefully Simple products that the menus recipes are based on. All orders are shipped to me and I will bring them to the workshop for you.

3) Pre-Workshop. Two weeks before the workshop I will e-mail you your grocery list. The grocery list consists of all non-TS products that you will use for the recipes, including the meats, vegetables, etc. You can substitute or alter any of these items according to your own tastes (I don’t eat fish so I substitute chicken… I was low-fat items… etc). Generally, these items will cost anywhere between $75 – $125 depending on what items you already have in your kitchen, if you shop sales, etc. You will bring all of these items with you in a cooler to the workshop. I will also include in the email any kitchen items you may need like a cutting board, knife, mixing bowl, etc.

4) The night before the workshop: Get your things together. Some recipes may require you to do some at home prep work (brown meat for instance). At home prep work is minimal but because we will not be using stoves and ovens at the workshop, some recipes require it. All of this information will be included in the email that I send out.

5) The workshop. Arrive 15 minutes before the start to find a spot. I will have each spot set up with your Tastefully Simple products, an instruction list, the recipes, and labels to secure to your finished products (that tell what it is in your bag, the date, how to cook the meal, etc.). Once everyone is settled I will begin the workshop with introductions, tips, questions. We will start going through recipes together. I will announce the steps and everyone will more or less, complete the same tasks at the same time. It is okay if you use the recipes to skip ahead and go at a faster pace, but please do not interrupt the group to ask a question about a step further in the recipe. Use the time to take a break and join us again when we have reached that step. To complete the prepwork for all 10 meals it should take the entire 2 hours allotted.

Bring a friend and enjoy yourselves! The Weymouth and Bridgewater locations have a bar on site, and the Scituate location allows us to bring in our own wine and beer. Feel free to talk and have a good time, but please be considerate of those around you!
