Abington Celebrates Oktoberfest Weekend 2017

Abington Celebrates will be hodling Oktoberfest celebration October  14-15 at various locations in Abington.  Many orgaizations come together to celebrate the fall  in Abington   Moms Shopping Survey Earn Amazon gift card and more  

Saturday October 14th events 

Oktoberfest Marketplace: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., United Church of Christ in Abington, 10 Bedford St.

Not So Scary Woods: 2-6 p.m., Island Grove Park, 200 Park Ave. Sponsored by the Abington Lions.

Outdoor Family Movie Night: 7-9 p.m., Catherine and Joseph Nisby Bandstand, 600 Gliniewicz Way. Sponsored by the HUG Foundation.

Sunday October 15th events 

 

Pancake Breakfast: 8-10:30 a.m., The Legion Building, 1027 Washington St. Sponsored by the Abington Lions.

Oktoberfest Family Celebration: noon-4 p.m. Sponsored by The Jeffrey Coombs Memorial Foundation, The Jeremy Russell Memorial Fund and Sgt. Daniel Vasselian Memorial Fund.Frolio School/Memorial Field/Legion Building: Washington Street. Featuring music, food, beer, Joe’s Craz-zy Critters, a petting zoo, bouncy house, kids’ games, hayrides and raffles. Food and drink at the Memorial Field Snack Shack.

Pumpkin Painting and Field Games: noon-4 p.m., Memorial Field. Sponsored by First Baptist Church in Abington.

Dog Costume Contest and Raffles: noon-4 p.m., Frolio School. Sponsored by the Abington Dog Park Committee. Best dressed stuffed dog contest at 2 p.m. for ages 12 and younger ($1 to enter); costume contest at 3 p.m. ($3 to enter); raffles and items for sale.

Double Eagle Oktoberfest German Band: 1-3 p.m., Frolio School/Legion Building. Sponsored by the Abington Summer Concerts Committee.

Beer and Food Garden: noon-4 p.m., Legion Building, Washington Street. Sponsored by the American Legion.
