President’s Day Weekend Winterfest 2019 in Quincy MA

The City of Presidents will be celebrating the 3rd  President’s Day Weekend  Winter Festival, a free event for the whole family on Sunday February 2 PM to 7 PM at Hancock-Adams  Common. . With outdoor interactive experiences, live music and special performances – including fire-eating and stilt walking – there is something for everyone.President's Day Weekend Winterfest 2018 in Quincy MA

The Hancock-Adams Common will be the place to be for indoor and outdoor fun, with various tents featuring bubble machines, UV lights to help kids glow, moving LED lights, and an LED Robot. As kids wait in lines they can have a free caricature done!

Take photos with characters including princesses from Frozengive Olaf a warm hug, or meet other beloved costumed characters.

A mobile unit featuring a model slot car track will be onsiteas well as a limited edition Boston Bruins dome hockey game, air hockey tables, and more.

In the spirit of Presidents Day, a large green screen will let you take photos with Quincy natives Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams, George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln, along with other beloved historical figures, superheroes, and Quincy greats like actress Lee Remick, whose dad owned Remick’s Department Store in the Center, and Howard Johnson, who started the famed chain in Quincy.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the Wahlburgers food truck, Montilio’s pizza oven and pastry truck, as well as at the Hive beer and wine truck.

Winterfest will heat up with a special fire show.

The Church of Presidents and Quincy City Hall will house multiple performances throughout the day. Soul Jacker, a modern Funk & Soul band, will perform from 4-7 pm.  The Paradoxides Trio, made up of members of the Quincy Symphony Orchestra, will play music from The Great American Songbook, followed by the patriotic stylings of the 215th Army Band. The popular puppeteer and marionette group Behind the Mask will present “The Woman Who Outshone the Sun.”

Sunday, February 17th from 2pm-7pm
In the case of rain or snow, the event will be moved to Monday, February 18th.
