Sharon July 4th Celebration & Fireworks 2019

The Town of Sharon will be hosting their annual 4th of July Independence Day celebration and fireworks on  Wednesday    July 3rd at Memorial Park Beach with firework at the end of the day at Lake Massapoag.

Wednesday, July 3rd (Rain date: Sunday, July 7):

4:00 pm Bicycle and Doll Carriage Parade – The parade will travel on Beach St. to the bandstand. (line up at Beech Tree Park at the corner of Pond and Beach streets at 3:45 PM), plus the start of all the ongoing activities (see below)

4:30 pm Children’s show – featuring the fantastic Circus Dynamics

6:30 pm Live music on the bandstand! We are proud to welcome Cold Chocolate, a genre-bending Americana band that fuses folk, funk, and bluegrass to create a unique sound all their own. Featuring Ethan Robbins on guitar, Ariel Bernstein on percussion, and backed by some of the roots music scene’s finest players, this group from Boston is impressing audiences throughout New England and beyond.

8:00 pm Pie Eating Contest – $50. Prize for winner (sign up to enter at the main gate – must be 18 years or older to enter

9:30 pm Independence Day Finale – fireworks over Lake Massapoag

Ongoing activities starting at 4pm:

Disc jockey, Chris Zienko, at the bandstand
Sharon’s seventh annual food truck fair, featuring some of the Boston area’s best food trucks
Carnival games
Activities, at the picnic tables on the grass outside the bandstand, organized by the Sharon Recreation Department.
Train rides and slot car racing games from the Roaming Railroad (a longtime Sharon Independence Day Celebration tradition)
