The 33rd  annual Greater Brockton Holiday Parade will be held on Saturday November 30th  with the theme the Joy of  Toys . Besides the parade there is a whole day  of family friendly events to kick off the holiday season.

Welcome to the Holiday Season An Evening of Song and Stories with James Edgar

Friday November 29th  6-730pm

Families are invited to join Santa’s Elves at War Memorial Building for the annual
Reading of James Edgar Story & Tree Lighting.

Join us in a special evening of holiday music, singing, and a special presentation
of the James Edgar story,
featuring James Edgar – the FIRST department store Santa.
Mr. Edgar will be joined by the Brockton High School Concert Choir,
Brockton Symphony Brass Quintet, and Mayor Moises Rodrigues.

Tree lighting to follow. This event is free and open to the public.

Saturday November 30th

The 33rd Annual Brockton Holiday Parade and USA Christmas Town Events will
celebrate more than 129 Years since James Edgar donned that First Department Store Santa
Suit – thus, changing the way we celebrate the holidays world-wide!  We are proud to
be a part of such an iconic piece of history and are looking forward to celebrating bigger
and better than ever before.

 

Activities start at 9:00 am
Parade starts at 1:00

 

Free Photos with Santa at City Hall 9am – 12 noon.
The Holiday Parade starts on Belmont Street, travels up Main Street to American Legion Parkway, marches around the top of American Legion down to Montello Street and finishing up at Brockton City Hall.
