2019 Annual Quincy Christmas Holiday Parade and Celebrations

The City of Quincy will host its annual slate of Christmas events beginning on Friday, November 29th  with the Turning on of the Christmas Lights. Santa and his elves will arrive by parachute on November 30th and the 67th  Annual Christmas Parade will be held on Sunday, December 1st  at 12:30. All events are free and open to the public.

Tree Lighting
Friday, November 29
5:00-7:00 PM
Hancock-Adams Common
1305 Hancock Street

Come enjoy the Hancock-Adams Common, decked with twinkling lights and a host of holiday displays! Mayor Koch and special guests – maybe one from the North Pole – flip the ceremonial switch to bring the holiday spirit to the Common. Heated tents will be set up for this event.

Santa’s Arrival

Pageant Field (One Merrymount Pkwy)

Santa and his elves arrive in Quincy by parachute, landing at Pageant Field, at this fun family event. While waiting for the touchdown of the Jolly Old Elf and friends, take a hayride around the field or “high-five” one of the visiting costumed characters!

 

Fair Saturday Celebration in Quincy

Join in the Fair Saturday events on November 30, 2019, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in and around Quincy Center, celebrating arts & culture, with an opportunity to give back to local social causes. Start at Presidents Place by getting your map/list of events for the day.  There will be many musical concerts during the day primarily Tent on Hancock-Adams Common

 

The 67th Annual Christmas Parade

The 67th Annual Christmas Parade has been a tradition for Quincy families for many years. Floats, marching bands, and costumed characters fill Quincy streets, spreading holiday joy to all. The parade route begins at the intersection of Hancock Street and Walter J. Hannon Parkway, continuing up Hancock Street to North Quincy High School.
