Abington Celebrates Oktoberfest Weekend 2021

Abington Celebrates will be holding Oktoberfest celebration October 16th-17th  at various locations in Abington.  Many organizations  come together to celebrate the fall  in Abington

The Oktoberfest Weekend schedule is as follows:

Saturday Events 

Oktoberfest Marketplace: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  United Church of Christ in Abington,  Route 18. Vendors, crafters, raffles, music, food and fun. Thrift shop will be open.

Dyer Library Open House: 1-3 p.m. , Special Exhibits of Local History,

Not So Scary Woods: 3-6 p.m. , Island Grove Park, Abington. Sponsored by the Abington Lions Club. Costume parade, Joe’s Craz-zy Critters, Touch-A-Truck and games. Free event.

Pumpkin Point and Movie Night  Come join us at Island Grove Park (200 Park Avenue) on Saturday evening, October 16th from 6-8 p.m. for Pumpkin Point and Movie Night! There will be a carved pumpkin contest with prizes, wish lanterns available for purchase for $2 each, refreshments available for purchase. We will also feature a free outdoor Halloween movie “Monsters, Inc.”

Sunday events 

Family Oktoberfest 12-3pm

Join us at Frolio School/Abington American Legion lawns and Memorial Field (Washington St.) for a fun afternoon celebrating OKTOBERFEST!
Joe’s Craz-zy Critters, bouncy houses, kids activities, hayrides, raffles
Giving and Caring Opportunity – sponsored by Abington Celebrates and Abington United Church of Christ. Fill our collection bins with NEW SOCKS for the homeless. Drop off a pair or make a donation and we will purchase them for you. Find us at the big tent.

Dog Costume Contest and Raffles
Sponsored by the Abington Dog Park Committee
Best Dressed Stuffed Dog Contest (for kids 12 and under) at 1:30 p.m. – $1 to enter
Canine Costume Contest at 2:30 – $3 to enter
Raffles and items for sale.
Special 2:00 p.m. appearance by the Plymouth County Sheriff K9 Unit
Double Eagle Oktoberfest German Band (1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.) at the big tent. Sponsored by the Abington Summer Concerts Committee
Beer and Food Garden at the Legion Building. Sponsored by the Abington American Legion.
