Abington Celebrates Summer Kickoff Weekend & Fireworks 2025

Abingtonians will be gathering all over Abington  over the June  Weekend to kick off the summer with a Town  wide  celebration  June 6th  to June 8th  Saturday evening there will be fireworks! Abington will be celebrating  its founders anniversary.  Bring the kids to this fun family weekend event. 

 

Friday, June 6th

Kick Off Cook Out (5pm-7pm)

Sponsored by: The United Church of Christ in Abington 25 Bedford Street, Rte 18 Free food, raffles and the Thrift Shop will be open with bargains!

Founders Day Concert (7:30pm-8:30pm)

Abington High School Auditorium 201 Gliniewicz Way Featuring: Abington Town Choir, Abington Community Band, Island Grove Chorus

Saturday, June 7th

Kid’s Fishing Derby (9:30am – 1pm)

Ages 8-14 | Free bait, prizes. Fly Fishing demo by Trout Unlimited, hot dogs & snow cones by Parks & Recreation! Central St. across from Town Barn | Kids must be with an adult.

CHALK IT UP! (11am – 1pm)

Try your hand at sidewalk chalk art! Abington Police Dept. – Parking Lot 215 Central Street

Kids Make & Take Plant (10am – 12pm)

Hosted by Abington Garden Club Butterfly Park on Central Street

Open House Tour at Linh Quang Buddhist Meditation Temple (10am – 1pm)
