Quincy Library Children’s Movie: The Wild Robot 10:00 AM—12:00 PM Join us on Tuesday, February 18th at 10:00 am for a showing of the new Wild Robot movie based on the popular novel of the same name by Peter Brown. After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot called Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island. To survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose.

Bot Maze Construction North Quincy Library 2pm Come tinker and play with bristle bots at the library! On Tuesday, February 18th at 2:00 pm kids ages 7-12 will work in teams to build mazes out of KEVA blocks and test out how well these motorized bots can spin their way through passageways, obstacles, and other creations.
Nintendo Switch Tournament, at Milton Library 230-4pm Kids ages 6-12 are invited to show off their Mario skills in the Story Hour Room for an hour of (friendly!) competetive gaming with our Nintendo Switch!No registration is required. All experience levels around gaming are welcome

Braintree Library 4pm Children’s Music Concert with Music at the Blissful
During School Vacation Week, children are invited to a live music concert performed by Music at the Blissful (Evan Haller). He is a six time winner of the Boston Parent Paper’s ” Family Favorite ” category. His high energy, fun filled, interactive, movement packed music experience is great for the whole family. This concert is free and open to all children. Held in the Children’s Room. No registration needed.

Music and Movement with Miss Rubi @North Quincy Library 1030am Miss Rubi will be coming to the North Quincy Library this month for a special program during school vacation week. We invite our youngest patrons ages 0-2 to join Miss Rubi at the North Quincy Library from 10:30 – 11:00 a. m. on Wednesday, February 19th for a Music and Movement program especially designed for them. This session will feature baby bounces, tickles, wiggles, finger plays and nursery rhymes with parent participation. This programs are especially for children ages 0-2 accompanied by an adult. Due to overcrowding tickets are now required for this program. Free tickets will be available at the desk beginning at 10:00 am.

Music and Movement with Miss Rubi North Quincy Library 11:15am
Miss Rubi will be coming to the North Quincy Library this month for a special program during school vacation week. We invite Miss Rubi’s fans ages 3-6 to join us at the North Quincy Library on Wednesday, February 19th from 11:15 – 11:45 for a Music and Movement program full of large scale movements, rhythm clapping, finger plays and nursery rhymes including early literacy and music activities. Parent participation highly encouraged. So put on your favorite dancing shoes and join us for this lively mix of music and movement. Please bring a stuffie along with you to join the fun. This program is especially for children ages 3-6 accompanied by an adult. Due to overcrowding tickets are now required for this program. 1:30—3:30 PM Just for school vacation week, we’re doing a two hour extended edition of our popular Brick Builders program! Drop by the Meeting Room (a much bigger space) and build with our Legos. Please leave your own Legos at home. Best for children age 6 and up, caregivers must remain in the Meeting Room.

Braintree Library Disney Party for Children during School Vacation Week 230pm
Children are invited to a Disney Party during School Vacation Week. Wearing a costume of a Disney character is encouraged. There will be Face-Painting, Make-a-Crown craft, Disney Trivia, a photo-op with a Disney character, some games and refreshments. Open to children of any age. Planned and presented by the Children’s Room staff, the Teen Librarian and Teen Volunteers.
Super Awesome Hangout Club for grades 3-7 at Quincy Library
Calling all 3rd-7th graders! Come hang out with old friends and make some new ones! Join us for a special hangout in the Children’s blue room on Wednesday, February 19th at 2:30 pm where we will learn how to do needle felting with Pop Up Art School by creating a portrait of Pikachu. Mamasteph is a local favorite and has performed at various libraries, schools, and other locations across the South Shore. She has released four albums including Little Mouse, Little House. Quincy Library Doodle Art Bots 10am Interested in making your own robot? Kids ages 8-12 are invited to join us on Friday, February 20th at 10:00 am to make their own motorized Doodle Art robot. After we make our robots we will use them to create some art. Then you can take your robot home to make pictures. Registration is required and is limited to Quincy residents. Join us for some TAB-organized gaming on the Nintendo Switch from 3-4:30pm in the Teen Room!. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the reigning game of choice, but game choice is consensus-driven at the top of each meet. The Teen Room is open for students between grades 6 and 12, though all experience levels around gaming are welcome.
