Frozen Movie at Adams Shore Library Branch quincy 10am Join us at the Adams Shore Library on Tuesday February 20th at 10:00 am as we watch Frozen and sing along with Elsa, Anna, Olaf and friends! We’ll provide the lyrics if you provide your enthusiastic singing!

Calling all young crafters! Join us for a fun filled lunch at Shake Shack while you decorate a tote bag with patches and more. Fuel your creativity with everyone’s favorite crinkle fries (one complimentary order per customer with the purchase of a sandwich). Your $5 ticket reserves your spot at the event, including all materials for decorating a tote bag, and a free fries voucher to be used day of. Tickets are required (for kid-crafters only) and 100% of proceeds will be donated to Hingham Public Schools. This event has two different time slots. Please select the time slot that works best for you. If your plans change, please be sure to cancel your ticket within 48 hours to make room for another child.

Sensational Yoga & Storytime with Arc of the South Shore at Barnes & Noble Derby St 11am
Join Arc of the South Shore inside the Barnes & Noble kid section at Derby Street Shops for a magical story time & yoga class that brings the book to life. Each family will receive a complimentary take-home sensory book kit. This event is inclusive and sensory-friendly. All are welcome. Tickets are free, but registration is required.

February Vacation Family Music Class at North River church Pembroke free 1pm  Please join us over February School Vacation week for a family music class! The class includes instruments, singing and dancing! This will take place from 1-1:45 pm in KidsZone. This is a free event! The class is open to children aged 0-6 years, with older siblings welcome. There are limited spots available, so registration is required.

During School Vacation Week, come make a paper Modern Art creation with bright colors and shapes. Artist Piet Mondrian used bold lines and colors in his creations. For children ages 5 and up. All supplies provided. Held in the Children’s Room. No sign-up needed

Troll Sing along  Weymouth 3pm  The Mayor’s Office & @townofweymouth is thrilled to invite the families of Weymouth to see and sing-along with “Trolls: Band Together” on the big screen in The Theater at Maria Weston Chapman Middle School!  Come enjoy an afternoon of smiles and laughter with your loved ones. “Trolls: Band Together” will begin at 3:15pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 (school vacation week). The doors to the theater will open at 3:00pm.

Puppet Show with Leigh  10am Quincy Library  Join us on Thursday, February 22nd at 10:00 am to see a captivating puppet show with the talented Leigh Baltzer!Join the Office of Healthy Homes on an exciting journey to learn about the hazards of Lead Paint with Newton and his friends! With the help of enchanting puppets and engaging storytelling, this will be a show you don’t want to miss!

On Thursday, February 22 join us to build Lego creations as well as build and race Lego cars on racetracks! This is open to all ages. This is a free event. Registration is required

Duxbury Library 1130am  Rainforest Reptile Shows’ one in a million hands on traveling animal shows engages kids of all ages. You will have the chance to come into direct contact with our live reptiles, artifacts, and their incredible stories. We offer the best in children and adult education and entertainment. In each show, our animals and reptiles are the stars! Open to ages 6 and up and their caregivers.

 

Braintree Library  Hawks and Falcons Presentation for kids  2pm
Learn about Birds of Prey from Mass Audubon. A Nature Educator will bring two of them for you to see and learn about. Held during February School Vacation Week. Best for ages 5-12. Limited to the first 50 who arrive. The number of participants is limited by Mass Audubon, in order to control noise volume for the birds.

Friday February 23rd

New Bedford Whaling Museum Free admission day from Highland Foundation

Toy Time – Ages 9-23 months  at Quincy Library 10am  Come to the library for a free playtime session with your baby, ages 9- 23 months full of age appropriate toys and activities plus socializing with other children and caregivers.  A fun time for all and a chance to practice large and small muscle development. This program will meet in the large meeting room from 10:00 – 11:00 am and is for children ages 9 – 23 months accompanied by an adult.

Vacation week Concert at borderland Park in Easton  10:00 am—11:30 am, Inside Visitor Cente  Join popular kids’ musician Greg Luzitano and bring the little ones for a set of classic interactive kids songs! Children will be engaged with invitations to sing along, make funny faces, use
their imaginations, make noise, and even show off their best dance moves as Greg leads them through an interactive set of  fun, energetic kid’s songs! Best for ages 2-6, but all ages will have fun and grown-ups are encouraged to join in! All children must
be accompanied by an adult.  All programs are free and open to the public. Parking fee applies. An adult must
accompany children

Mr. Vinny’s Shadow Puppets at Hanover Public Library 1030am The wonderful Mr. Vinny, of the famous Toe Jam Puppet Band, will present an amazing and hilarious show featuring his handmade shadow puppets.  If you are familiar with Mr. Vinny’s wacky personality, you know you are in for a treat. registration required

Toe Jam Puppet Band at Canton Library 1pm 
Toe Jam Puppet Band The fun family band for New England kids. .. and their families too! We are so excited to bring you the Toe Jam Puppet Band! This event is free and does not require registration.

Plymouth Library Winter Hibernation with Hands on Nature 2pm  How do your favorite animals spend the winter? Join us as we learn how animals survive the coldest months of New England. We will learn about hibernation, migration, and the amazing adaptations animals have for surviving our harshest temperatures. Bring a stuffed animal and create a cozy little hibernation den to take home! Registration required. For ages 5 and up.

Toe Jam Puppet Band Winter Variety Show Randolph Library 330pm   Are you ready to bust some funky moves with the Toe Jam Puppet Band? Brace yourself for an hour of pure joy and rhythm with one of the most beloved children’s bands in New England!  registration required
