What to do with the little kids this week.  We did a survey on Instagram and we got overwhelming response to publish a weekly calendar.  We will be rolling up all the fun going on each week!

What to do with the little kids this week for this September  week  We got all the fun activities’ and events!   From captivating story hours to colorful arts and crafts, interactive playdates to outdoor adventures, our preschooler & toddler  calendar is a gateway to a vibrant world of growth and development for your kids

Most of the library events are open to non residents!  Chose a different Storytime or playtime in a different town  if registration is needed we will let you know

Quincy Library Toddler Storytime for Ages 2-3 10am   simple stories and concepts to young children. Songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and felt board activities will be used to reinforce concepts.

 

West Bridgewater  Leaping Littles  10am & 1030 am  This is a program of music and movement for toddlers ages 18 months – 3 years of age. Registration is required and space is limited. SPACE IS LIMITED. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. EACH CHILD MUST BE REGISTERED SEPARATELY. REGISTRATION OPENS AT 6 AM ON THE MORNING OF THE PROGRAM. repeats thru the Jan 26th except for Monday holidays

Monday at the Mall Bear Theme Storytime  from Braintree Library 1030am
Storytime at South Shore Mall, in the Play area of the Food Court, on the second level. Miss Elisabeth presents books and songs. Today will be a Bear theme, with bear stories, bear songs and a hibernating Bear craft to take home .Everyone receives a Take-and-Make Craft bag. Each month Miss Elisabeth presents Storytime at the Mall on the first Monday of the month through May. Easy parking and access, is from the parking Garage near Target. Park on the second floor. Families can walk straight in to the Food Court’s Play area, no elevator or escalator needed.

Abington Library Drop-In Toddler Time 1030am 
Join Miss Sandy for toddler time every Monday morning this Fall! Toddler time is 20 minutes of quick stories, songs, puppet visits, scarf waving, egg shaking, and a whole lot of fun! This program is best suited for children ages 0-3. Registration is not required. Our toddler times are funded by the Friends of the Library.  repeats thru June 15th except for Monday holidays

Singalong and Dance Party with Miss Rebecca! at Cohasset Library 1030am repeats 1/13 as well 

Tots & Tunes 📖 at Rockland Library 1030am 
Join Ms. Erin for stories, songs, rhymes, and fingerplays at the library.  We will meet on the front lawn or in the library meeting room in inclement weather.

Norwell Library  Storytime with Marissa  1030am 
Ages 0-5 are welcome to join Marissa for 30 minutes of stories, participatory songs, and fingerplays that support early literacy. Registration is required. Please sign up for each week you are interested in attending.  repeats weekly except for Monday holidays end of April

 Quincy Outdoor Ice skating free 12pm

 

Cohasset Library Lego Club 4pm  Join us for an hour of building with LEGO®s. Completed projects will be put on display in the Children’s Room. All ages and communities welcome. repeats thru end of March except for Monday holidays

Quincy Library  Toy Time 10am 
Come to the library for a free playtime session with your baby, ages 9- 23 months full of age appropriate toys and activities plus socializing with other children and caregivers. A fun time for all and a chance to practice large and small muscle development. This program is for children ages 9 – 23 months accompanied by an adult. Space is limited and the doors will be closed when the room is full.

Milton Library Ms. Tory’s Stories, Ages 0-5 10am & 1045am sessions 
Join Ms. Tory for a storytime full of music and dancing located in the Keys Room on the Lower Level of the Library. repeats thru  March 31st

 

 

Babytime at Holbrook Library 1030am  Join us for Babytime, a special storytime designed just for our littlest library visitors, ages 0-18 months! This interactive session is a wonderful opportunity for babies and their caregivers to explore the world of books through songs, rhymes, and sensory activities. During this event, we’ll share age-appropriate stories, engage in fun fingerplays, and introduce simple songs that promote language development and bonding. repeats thru March 17th

Quincy Library  ABC Storytime for Ages 3-5 10am 
In this storytime series for preschoolers we will explore a different letter of the alphabet each time we meet. We’ll read stories, sing songs and play games all centered around the letter of the day, including our favorite game: Mystery Bag! Repeats thru Feb 4th

Family Movement and Mindfulness at Braintree Library 1015am
Join Jennifer Lynn of Nurtured Roots for a weekly session hosted by Thayer Public Library for children ages 1–5 years old and their caregivers. Each class features playful movement, gentle stretches, mindful breathing, and time to relax and find stillness. These activities help children learn how to focus, stay calm, and build emotional awareness, all while having fun and building connections. Siblings welcome. repeats thru Feb 11th

Baby and Me Movement and Mindfulness In 11am
Thayer Public Library hosts experienced instructor Jennifer Lynn in this warm and supportive environment for parents and caregivers to connect with their newborns and infants through gentle movement and songs. Class is for newborn babies to pre-crawling with their parent or caregiver. No registration needed. Program is free.  Weekly program is made possible through the use of State Aid to Public Library Funds repeats thru Feb 11th

Baby Lapsit babies to 2 yr old Pembroke Library 1030am Designed for babies and toddlers from 6 to 24 months, Lapsits are a great chance for caregivers to bond with their child. Each 30-minute program includes stretches, songs, and rhymes followed by an open play time that allows babies to play and grown-ups to chat. repeats thru  the end of June

Hingham Library Music & Movement with Ms. Rebecca (ages 4 and under) 1030am
Join Miss Rebecca for a class filled with music and movement. Rebecca is a musician who has a background in theater, music and improv. She is bringing her multiple talents to our library. Sing along to original songs and family favorites. This is a great program for infants repeats  Thursdays  the end of he June

Tinker Thursday  at Cohasset librar y4pm   Explore, experiment, and invent with hands-on activities using Playstix, Magnetic Tiles, Brickyard Building Blocks, Brainflakes and a marble run. Open to all ages. Registration is not required. Runs thru the end of March

Braintree Library  Drop-in Play 10am 
Children and their care-givers may stop in on Fridays anytime between 10 am and noon to play with toys, puppets, blocks and for social interaction. For little ones through age 5. repeats weekly

Little Groove Music Concert for Children at Braintree Library  1030am
Little Groove plays guitar, sings, lets the kiddos use maracas, puppets and there’s a bubble machine at the end of the performance. Best for ages 12 months to 5 years. Held in Logan Auditorium. Free tickets will be given out, starting 30 minutes before the show. Limited to the first 100 people to arrive.
