What to do with the little kids, toddler and preschoolers this week on the South Shore Boston . We did a survey on Instagram and we got overwhelming response to publish a weekly calendar. We will be rolling up all the fun going on each week!

Most of the library events are open to non residents! Chose a different Storytime or playtime in a different town if registration is needed we will let you know

Braintree Library Parachute Play and Musical Parade 10am
The Giant Parachute will be out for group play and songs with Miss Elisabeth. Then we’ll have a musical Parade around the Children’s Room, with instruments for all. Best for ages 2 1/2 – 4, but open to all children. Held in the Children’s Room. No registration needed.
West Bridgewater Leaping Littles 10am & 1030am
This is a program of music and movement for toddlers ages 18 months – 3 years of age. Registration is required repeats Monday thru end of April execpt for Monday holidays
Abington Library Drop-In Toddler Time 1030am
Join Miss Sandy for toddler time every Monday morning this Fall! Toddler time is 20 minutes of quick stories, songs, puppet visits, scarf waving, egg shaking, and a whole lot of fun! This program is best suited for children ages 0-3. Registration is not required. Our toddler times are funded by the Friends of the Library. repeats thru June 15th except for Monday holidays
Hingham Preschool Storytime (ages 3-5) 1030am
Monday’s Preschool Storytime includes reading interactive picture books followed by a fun and simple craft with lots of singing and silliness in between! This storytime is designed specifically for 3-5 year olds with a focus on building early literacy skills as well as fine motor skills with craft activities such as tearing, coloring, cutting, drawing, gluing, and painting.
Norwell Library Storytime with Marissa 1030am
Ages 0-5 are welcome to join Marissa for 30 minutes of stories, participatory songs, and fingerplays that support early literacy. Registration is required. Please sign up for each week you are interested in attending. repeats weekly except for Monday holidays end of April

You’ll be presented with a different challenge each week, and your creation will be displayed in our lobby cases. Family Movement and Mindfulness at Braintree Library 1015am
Join Jennifer Lynn of Nurtured Roots for a weekly session hosted by Thayer Public Library for children ages 1–5 years old and their caregivers. Each class features playful movement, gentle stretches, mindful breathing, and time to relax and find stillness. These activities help children learn how to focus, stay calm, and build emotional awareness, all while having fun and building connections. Siblings welcome. repeats thru end of May
Braintree Library Music and Sensory Awareness program for ages 2.9 to 4 years 1030am
Music and Sensory Awareness program presented by Sing Explore Create. This special music class is only for children ages 2.9 to 4 years and their caregiver/family . Registration is required, and opens on March 28, one month before the program. Todays’ program is held in the Reading Room on the Main Level. Before and after the music class, several local Early Childhood specialists, from the Braintree Public Schools Integrated Preschool and the Quincy Braintree Family Network, will have a table showing resources and educational materials. Please choose just one date from the February to June sessions, so that other families may attend. Each class is limited to 24 families.

Class is for newborn babies to pre-crawling with their parent or caregiver. No registration needed. Program is free.
