North River Festival of Arts Memorial Day Weekend 2026 in Marshfield MA
North River Festival of Arts Memorial Day Weekend 2026 in Marshfield MA
The 49th Annual Festival of the Arts will be held on Memorial Day weekend, May 23rd & 24th from 10 a.m. to 5 pm. Bring the kids and family to this fun Memorial Day weekend
Located on Old Main Street in Marshfield Hills, the Festival offers art and photography exhibits, a fair and street party, and a marketplace for artists and artisans. There are juried awards and prizes for artists and the opportunity for visitors to see (and buy) the best work of the area’s painters, photographers, and artisans. Featured and juried art will include paintings, drawings, photographs, and multi-media sculptures, as well as wood carvings, textiles, and almost any form of the visual arts you can imagine.
Two blocks of Old Main Street in Marshfield Hills will be blocked to traffic, so people will be browsing among several indoor exhibit locations for juried hanging art and outdoor tents where artists and artisans will demonstrate, display, and sell their work. Several of our best artists will be doing painting demonstrations out on the sidewalks, and musical entertainment will be featured across the street from our G.A.R. Hall. Creativity will be everywhere, including kids doing chalk drawings on the pavement.
The Festival of the Arts is a two-day block-party-style celebration of our community’s collective creativity, set in historic Marshfield Hills Village, and also our biggest annual fundraiser. The Festival encompasses fine art, photography, sculpture, live performances by musicians, dancers and thespians, plein air demos, children’s activities, artisans’ creations, delicious fare prepared by local food trucks, and more!
