Day 22 New England Wildlife Ctr S. Weymouth

Sharing is caring!

What do you do with an owl that’s lost it’s wing? A pregnant racoon? A Llamma? Just what you should do, Go see the New England Wildlife Center in South Weymouth. Take a walk on their nature trail. Tour their “Green” building for the science in it’s construction. The amazing animals they care for there and either board or release are the real attraction for me. There’s an owl with one wing. A sweet turtle pond including a soft shelled turtle. Two giant tortoises, a reptile room and their paired Quiet Nursury and Loud Nursery(See them in Springtime WHOEE!!!). Lastly, they have a store, specializing in low cost pet supplies. Some of the stock has been used. Some is new. All are dirt cheap. I was amazed throughout the tour at every stop.  They also have some hours available for kids birthday parties and it will keep young boys entertained for hours.

Here’s their website for directions and hours. Have fun! www.newildlife.com/
