  • July 28th – Rusty Skippers  Cohasset’s own Rusty Skippers will entertain the crowd with a mix of musical fare.  On their set list this year is Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever,” a medley of Blues Brothers favorites, Holst’s Jupiter from The Planets, Broadway’s “76 Trombones, ” Weather Report’s “Birdland” and a variety of other marches, a polka, Latin, and jazz selections. The 30-piece concert band was founded in 1995 and its members hail from Cohasset and the surrounding towns.   The Rusty Skippers’ name harkens back to many of the original members former status as Cohasset High ‘Skippers,’ who later returned to their musical instruments and talents. Band director Steve Biagini made sure to note the Rusty Skippers are no longer ‘rusty’ in their respective musical talents.
